Colorbond Fence or Steel Privacy Fencing – What is the difference?

Colorbond Fence is made in Australia from Bluescope Steel zincalune steel based. Zincalune steel has a zinc/aluminium alloy coating for anti/corrosion. The material is then baked polyester primer onto the surface. Then a top coat of exterior grade paint.

Steel Privacy Fencing is made from overseas steel mills. They are tested and pre-painted steel. The paint finish they offer is SMP (Silicone-modified polyester). This coating system meets all current Australian Standards.

Warranty is for 10 years from the day of installation.
The paint surface is not flaked or peeled

Colorbond fence and steel privacy fence are both made from hi-tensile steel.

They both offer the same 10 years warranties for paint flake and peeling.

By my experience, the import materials seem to be a little lighter , bend and dent more easily.
Both products do not offer paint fading, but have noticed that the overseas materials that I have seen have a faster rate of fading.
My pick is to spend a little bit more and buy colorbond.

Accidental drowning is the most frequent cause of death for children under the age of five.
